The past couple of nights, my parents have been mowing late, so me being the OUTSTANDING daughter that I am have taken the role of cooking supper for the fam. I have always enjoyed cooking, I remeber when my mom had Cancer she would make a grocery list and take me to United, wait for me in the car and I would go in with my little purse, a cell phone, my list and moms card... I would spend SO long in there!!! I loved it!! I guess the tradition has stuck and I continue to LOVE grocery shopping and cooking!!! Last night I cooked Taco Cassarole, which was AMAZING!!!! (sorry but I didnt get any pics of the meal) BUT tonight on the other hand I cooked a meal fit for kings!!!!! AND I documented every moment!!!!!!!!!!

As I approach the adulthood years of my life, CHANGE has started to become an everyday thing in my life. In the past year I have graduated high school, started an amazing adventure called SASSY SHACK (whoot whoot), quit the job that i have been working at since my 10th grade year (cavenders) went to work at Hobby Lobby (disaster) and now I am currently working at a place that I couldn't be happier at(Hubbs Brooking Animal Clinic) Change was defiantly something that I have had to be open to, I like things to be routine, same thing different day... haha boring I know. Now I am facing one of the BIGGEST steps of my life, MOVING OUT!!! Attentively, me and my good friend Britteny will be out and facing one of the hardest things we will ever do - LIFE!!!! We are keeping our fingers crossed, and our minds open, and keeping Christ as the big picture and hoping for the best... I am sure excite for my life and anxious to see what the next year has in store for me!!! Here is a little look at where I have been and am now!!! (sounds dramatic!)

So this weekend I embarked in yet ANOTHER Amarillo adventure.... I am beginning to think that Amarillo is my second home... Sarcasm intended. My best friend from Nocona lives down there now and we had her 21st birthday party. What is better than cooking out with great friends. If you know anything about me, you will know that im not the outgoing, walk into a room and become instant friends with everyone kind of a person. But this weekend I was around people that made me feel at home and like we had know each other for years... I dont think it gets any better than down home country people, and manners that make you feel at home. First, we started out the weekend with a birthday party for my friend Kera with hamburgers, hot dogs, horseshoes music and ping pong... haha. Saturday, we did our fare share of shopping, thanks to Kirklands, Cavenders, the gay Amarillo Mall, and Market world... it was great to get to just relax and have some R&R with a great friend... Saturday night I experienced my first ever Amarillo Venom indoor football game, totally different than outdoor football (clearly) but interesting just the same... never in my life have I seen guys that big... haha, I dont get out much. After the game, we went to the Amarillo VFW (veterans of foreign wars). Why you ask? Kera's boyfriend Mike fought in the war and received an Honorable Discharge and is now working in Amarillo, but is an active member int he VFW in Amarillo, it was so much fun to be there and meet the people who have fought for our country in the past wars, plus we got to watch the "elders" dance it up in the other room... it makes me laugh to think about it, those people can REALLY move!!!! One thing that really stuck in my mind about being there was a man who came and sat with us and proceeded to talk to us about the Bible, and all the Heros that reminded him of his old war buddies, you never know when God is going to show Himself to you and remind you that He does go with us everywhere! Sunday we did a bit more shopping and went and ate, then unfortunately it was time for me to head back to the windless town of W.F.... I really miss my Amarillo friends and family, but the way that I see it, is that we only have one life to live and that we should use every moment to the fullest, whether it be doing what ever it takes to get family together, go see old friends, or just life each day with no regrets... God gave us our life to live and live it for him, so that in my opinion should give us every reason to wake up and never regret one moment of our life! :)

This past weekend, I accompanied my sister Crystal and my niece Savannah to the great Amarillo Tx, to visit family. On the way down there, we were talking about blogs and blogging and she made the comment that I should start one... Me being the person that I am didnt entertain the fact only because the blogs that I see are strictly babies, babies, and more babies... and if you know me that is something that I well... lack. BUT, Crystal being the intellectual person/mommy that she is, made the suggestion to make a blog of my life... Life According to... ME. So this is the new journey that is going to enter into my day, hopefully on a regular basis... but you never know... typically I lead a pretty busy life and all so we will see what happens!
